Welcome and Commenting Guidelines

Hello and welcome to my blog!

You can call me by my nickname of Ladybug.

I’m in my early 30s and live in the Midwestern United States. I have worked both in a library and for the last several years as caregiver (or "carer" for those of you abroad) for seniors and individuals with disabilities at both privately run institutions and in their homes. In my free time, I like to relax at home with a good book and my two cats. This is my online journal, where I share, vent, and rant what's on my mind. You'll find regular updates about my particular interests and occasionally my life. Specifically, I write essays and share my thoughts on the abortion issue from a pro-life feminist, scientific, ethical, and limited spiritual point of view, as well as write on various other topics I'm passionate about, such as social justice, mental health and disability awareness, as well as about hobbies and interests in my life.
Please feel free to look around and share feedback, thoughts, and opinions here. All I ask is that commenting is done respectfully. Please take a minute to review my commenting guidelines below and leave any general questions, suggestions, or requests in the comments for this entry or in my guestbook.

Commenting Guidelines:

  • Visitors are welcome to challenge my views or the views of another visitors in political discussions, so long as it is done respectfully and intellectually. Please refrain from using verbally abusive language, profanity, and substance-less rhetoric.
  • Take the time to get to know the person you're challenging before making assumptions about who they are or what they're going to say. All visitors must respect the opinions, experiences and feelings of other visitors and myself. You do not have to agree, but you must respect.
  • Carefully read what others wrote and consider what is being said before responding
  • Express your thoughts carefully and clearly.
  • You're responsible for what you write.
If you comment anonymously, please leave a first name or nickname, so I know who I'm addressing. Thanks!
